Right on the sand in Oceanside, this spot is genuinely one of the better setups you’ll find at a Southern California beach. Kids get slides, swings, a sandbox, and a water feature — so even if the ocean feels too rough that day, there’s plenty to keep them busy. The shaded seating and covered picnic tables make it easy to hang out for a few hours without roasting, and the restrooms and parking situation are way less painful than most beach spots around here. Good for toddlers through tweens, roughly 2 to 12, so you’re not shuffling between separate areas trying to keep everyone happy.
