Cahill Park

Locals definitely sleep on Cahill Park — it’s one of the more underrated spots in San Jose for families with kids across a pretty wide age range. The playground has slides and swings that work for the little ones and the older kids too, so you’re not constantly shuttling between two separate areas. Bring a blanket because the open grass field is legit great for picnics, kite flying, or just letting the dog run around. The half basketball court gets decent use on weekends, and parking is easy enough that you’re not circling the block like you would at some other parks in the area.
