This Santa Monica beachfront spot has a water feature the kids go absolutely nuts for, plus a soccer field and walking path if you actually want to move your legs. The facilities are genuinely well-kept — the restrooms and picnic tables are clean in a way that public beach spots rarely manage to pull off. Parking on-site makes it way less of a headache than most places along this stretch of coast. Go on a weekday morning if you can, because locals already know how good this one is.
