Train Park

One of the cleaner spots in Shafter for little ones — this park stays well-maintained and doesn’t feel beat up like some others around town. The climbing structure and slides are sized just right for the 2-to-7 crowd, so you’re not stressing about toddlers trying to conquer something way too big for them. There’s a solid open grass field where kids can just run themselves tired, which honestly does half the work for you. Fair warning though: no swings and no restrooms, so plan accordingly before you head out.
