City Park Nature Play

If you’re already heading to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, just factor in an extra hour because the kids aren’t leaving without a fight. The natural play design here is genuinely thoughtful — climbing structures, a sandbox with actual shade over it, and running water features that keep the younger ones busy way longer than you’d expect. Older kids (and honestly some adults) will find enough in the climbing areas to stay challenged. The carved benches and tree cover make it bearable for parents even on warmer days, and the walking path loops things together nicely. It’s become a regular stop for families in the neighborhood, and for good reason.
