If you live anywhere near Dolores, this park is genuinely one of the better spots to spend an afternoon with kids. The play structures cover a solid age range — little ones have their thing, older kids have climbing and slides that actually hold their interest. Throw in a basketball court, walking path, and direct access to trails near the forest, with a pond nearby if you want to wander after lunch. The BBQ area and shaded picnic tables make it easy to turn a quick stop into a full day out. Restrooms and parking on-site, which sounds basic but matters more than people admit.
