Tamarisk Playground

If you live on the west side of Lakewood, you probably already know about this one. The playground itself is pretty simple — slides, swings, the basics — but that’s kind of the point for the 2-to-8 crowd. What keeps people coming back is everything around it: a bike track, a walking path, and a big open grass field where kids can just run without hitting anything. The trails near the creek are genuinely worth exploring, especially on a weekday when it’s quiet and you’re not fighting anyone for space. Throw in a pond nearby and you’ve got a solid few hours sorted.
