One of the better-kept secrets in Hamden, this little park punches above its weight for families with younger kids. The fenced play area gives parents a real break — you can actually sit down at the picnic tables or on a shaded bench without losing track of your toddler. There’s a solid mix of equipment in there: slides, swings, a seesaw, climbing structure, and a play train that the little ones go absolutely nuts for. The shade trees do real work on a hot afternoon, and the wood chip surface is well-maintained compared to a lot of other spots in the area. Throw in restrooms, a basketball court, and a walking path, and it’s an easy stop for the whole family.
