Sports at the Beach

If you’ve ever tried to keep little kids entertained during a three-hour baseball tournament, you already know why the sandbox here is a lifesaver. Sports at the Beach is a serious complex — multiple baseball fields, a basketball court, open grass to run around on, and a pond nearby that draws plenty of attention from the fishing crowd. Parking is genuinely easy, which sounds minor until you’ve circled a lot for 20 minutes with a carful of hungry kids. The restrooms are solid, the setup handles big tournament weekends without falling apart, and there’s enough going on that non-baseball family members won’t be staring at their phones the whole time. Georgetown doesn’t have a ton of spots like this, and locals know it pulls its weight.
