Cape Henlopen Playground

If you’re already heading to Cape Henlopen State Park, the playground is worth building into the trip — especially if you’ve got kids anywhere from toddler age up to around 12 or 13. The climbing structure gets some real use, and the slides and swings are solid without feeling like an afterthought. Everything’s kept up well, which honestly isn’t always a given at state park playgrounds. There’s open grass nearby for kids who need to burn off extra energy, and the trail access means you can easily tack on a short walk before or after. Parking is straightforward, and the whole setup feels like it was actually planned with families in mind.
