Schoolhouse Children’s Museum

If you’ve got kids under 7 and haven’t made it to this spot yet, you’re missing out. The indoor section has a slide and maze that keeps little ones busy, and the toddler cove is gated off so you’re not constantly chasing your youngest across the room. Outside, there are two separate play areas — one for the bigger kids, one for the babies — which sounds like a small thing until you’ve tried wrangling both ages on the same playground. The facilities are genuinely well-kept, with restrooms, changing stations, and enough shaded seating that you can actually sit down for five minutes. Free parking and a historical building make it feel like more than just a typical drop-in play spot.
