Sweetwater Playground

One of those spots the locals know about but don’t really advertise — and honestly, that’s half the appeal. The play area covers the basics well: slides, swings, and a climbing structure that keeps kids in the 2-10 range busy long enough for you to actually sit down. Shade trees do real work here, which matters a lot come summer in Jacksonville. Pack a cooler and claim a picnic table near the grills, and you’ve basically got a full afternoon sorted. The basketball court is a nice bonus if the older ones need somewhere to burn off extra energy.
