Easily one of the better parks in Lake Wales for families with younger kids — the oak trees actually do their job here, keeping the play area cool enough to use even on a hot Florida afternoon. The enclosed setup with a single entry point is a big deal if you’ve got little ones who like to wander, and the wood chips under the equipment are a nice touch. You’ve got slides, swings, and a climbing structure to keep the under-12 crowd busy, plus picnic tables and a BBQ area when it’s time to eat. The soccer field and open grass give older kids somewhere to burn off energy while parents sit in the shade. The lake nearby makes the whole place feel a lot more scenic than your average neighborhood park.
