Barnett Family Park/Sunflower Preschool Playground

The enclosed gate alone makes this place worth the trip if you’ve got little ones — knowing they can’t just bolt toward the lake is a genuine relief. Inside you’ve got swings, a tire swing, climbing structure, and a sandbox keeping the toddler-through-school-age crowd busy for a solid stretch. Parents actually have decent shaded seating here, which isn’t something you can count on at every Lakeland park. The splash pad draws a crowd on hot days (so, most of the year), and when you’re ready to decompress, the walking path along the lake is a nice way to end the visit.
