Colonialtown Park

Good luck finding a merry-go-round at most Orlando playgrounds these days, but Colonialtown keeps one around and the kids absolutely lose their minds for it. The equipment — slides, swings, climbing structure — is genuinely well-kept, which isn’t something you can say about every neighborhood park in this city. Younger kids and middle schoolers can both find something to do here, so it works if you’ve got a mixed-age group. Grab one of the shaded picnic tables when you arrive, because they go fast on weekends. The partial fencing gives parents a little peace of mind without making the place feel like a cage.
