If you’re a Tampa local and somehow haven’t spent a Saturday afternoon here, you’re missing out. The views of Hillsborough Bay and the downtown skyline are genuinely hard to beat — grab a picnic table, throw out a fishing line off the pier, and you’ve got yourself a solid few hours. Kids have swings to keep them busy, and the walking path along the water is good for everyone from stroller-pushing parents to people just trying to get their steps in. Dogs are welcome too, which makes it a pretty reliable weekend spot for the whole family. Parking is free and restrooms are on-site, so no excuses not to make a day of it.
