Honestly, if you haven’t done the Riverwalk on a weekday morning, you’re missing out — it’s a completely different experience from the weekend crowds. The path runs right along the water with solid shade tree coverage, so even in Tampa heat it’s actually manageable, and the downtown skyline views don’t get old. Cyclists and walkers share the route pretty naturally, and dogs are everywhere, which tells you a lot about the vibe. Keep your eyes on the water because dolphins show up more than you’d expect, and there are spots to peel off toward restaurants or grab a bench and just sit for a while.
