Noguchi Playscape

If you haven’t taken your kids to Piedmont Park to check out the Noguchi Playscape, you’re missing out on one of Atlanta’s coolest spots. It’s not your typical plastic-and-primary-colors setup — Isamu Noguchi designed this thing back in the 70s, and it shows in the best way possible. The slides, climbing structures, and sandbox all have this sculptural, almost otherworldly feel that kids just instinctively know what to do with. That concrete turtle alone is worth the trip. Good for the 2-to-10 crowd, and honestly, the adults who grew up playing here get a little nostalgic standing around watching their own kids figure it all out.
