Locals who know, know — this one stays cooler than most Boise parks even in July, thanks to some seriously old shade trees that actually do their job. There’s a climbing structure that keeps the bigger kids busy while the little ones have their own space to do their thing, so you’re not constantly running interference between a 3-year-old and a 10-year-old. Pack a lunch because the picnic tables are actually usable here, and the basketball court and open grass field mean the sports-inclined kids won’t get bored after 20 minutes. Greenbelt access is a bonus if you want to tack on a walk. It doesn’t draw huge crowds, which honestly is reason enough to make it your regular spot.
