Phillips Park is one of those spots that actually gets taken care of — which, honestly, you notice fast when you’ve been to other Aurora parks that haven’t seen a fresh coat of paint in years. The swings are clean and in good shape, the kind where you’re not side-eyeing the chains before you let your kid on. No entry fee either, so it’s an easy call for a last-minute afternoon out. The skatepark is a solid bonus if you’ve got older kids or teens in tow who’d rather not mess around on the play structure.
