Honestly, it’s a decent enough spot to bring the kids for an hour, but the removal of the water fountains has been a real sore point for locals — and rightfully so. On a hot Illinois summer day, that’s not a small thing to overlook. Chenoa’s a small town, so this park does a lot of heavy lifting as a community gathering space, which makes the fountain situation even more frustrating. Bring your own drinks and you’ll be fine, but it’s the kind of thing that shouldn’t need saying.
