If you haven’t found the tunnel yet, that’s half the fun. Ben Butterworth Parkway has this low-key reputation among locals for being one of the better spots to just get outside and move — runners especially seem to claim it as their own. The walking path is solid, nothing too intense, which makes it good for all ages whether you’re pushing a stroller or actually training. And yeah, there’s a tunnel, and kids absolutely lose their minds over it like they’ve stumbled onto something secret. East Moline doesn’t always get a lot of credit for its outdoor spaces, but this one earns it.
