Schmoeger Park playground

Schmoeger Park is one of those spots on the north side that locals seem to keep quietly to themselves. The play structure keeps kids busy with slides, swings, and climbing, and the shade trees actually make it bearable to sit there on a hot July afternoon — unlike some parks where you’re just baking in the sun. Kids from about 2 to 12 find something to do here, whether that’s the equipment or just running around the open grass field. There’s a walking path if you want to get some steps in while the little ones do their thing, and parking is easy. It’s a real neighborhood park — nothing flashy, but the kind of place where you’ll see the same families showing up week after week.
