The grounds are massive — gardens, open grass, shaded picnic spots, and trail access that connects to the surrounding woods — so you can easily burn a full afternoon here. The climbing structure is solid, but honestly the tanks are the main event for most families, and the rubbery surface around them means you’re not hovering the whole time. Restrooms are clean, parking is easy, and there’s enough shade to make a summer visit genuinely comfortable. It’s one of those rare spots that works for a three-year-old and a history-obsessed grandparent at the same time.
