O’Bannon Playground

This spot is genuinely one of the better family parks on the Indy side — it’s got separate play zones for little kids and older ones, which makes a real difference when you’ve got a mixed-age crew. The splash pad gets heavy use on hot days, and the swing setup is solid with toddler, standard, and adaptive options all in one place. Throw in a tire swing and a climbing structure and kids can honestly disappear for a couple hours. There’s a BBQ area with picnic tables in the shade, restrooms with a changing station, and enough open grass to kick a soccer ball around without crowding anyone. The trails nearby are a nice bonus if you want to stretch your legs after.
