Kids who like to climb will get their money’s worth here — the structure is solid and gives 5-to-12-year-olds enough to work with. The shade trees do a lot of heavy lifting on hot Davenport summers, and there’s actual seating in the shade so parents aren’t just standing around squinting. Picnic tables and restrooms make it easy to stay for a while, which is really what separates a decent park from a great one. The open grass field and walking path mean older kids or adults can stretch their legs while the younger ones do their thing.
