Gilbertson Park

If you haven’t been out to this park lately, it’s worth the drive — they’ve redone the playground equipment and it shows. The grounds are genuinely well-kept, which isn’t something you can say about every small-town park, and the restrooms are consistently clean. Beyond the playground, there’s a solid bike track, a walking path that takes you through some nice scenery, and a pond close enough that you can squeeze in some fishing or kayaking on the same trip. Shade trees and covered seating make it comfortable even on hot afternoons, and the campground situation means you can make a whole weekend out of it. Good spot for families, good spot for anyone who just wants to be outside.
