Spring Creek Playground

If you’re anywhere near Cheney and have kids in that 3-10 range, Spring Creek is worth the trip. The climbing structure keeps older kids busy while the sandbox holds the attention of the little ones long enough for you to actually sit down at a picnic table and breathe. Slides and swings cover the classics, and the open grass field means there’s room to run when everyone’s done taking turns. What makes it stand out is the proximity to the trails and trees — it doesn’t feel like a random patch of equipment dropped in a parking lot. Park, play, maybe wander the trail a bit — it’s a solid afternoon without having to overthink it.
