KidScape

KidScape is one of those spots in Overland Park that locals keep coming back to, and honestly it’s easy to see why. The climbing structure and slides give kids plenty to work with, and the sandbox tends to become its own whole situation — bring extra socks. Shade trees actually do their job here, which matters in a Kansas summer, and the picnic tables are well-placed so you can eat and still keep an eye on the kids without craning your neck. The walking path is a nice touch for parents who’d rather move than sit, and the restrooms being on-site means you’re not scrambling. Good for ages 2 through 12, though the younger ones especially love it.
