Veterans Park Playground

This little park is more about the whole experience than just the playground itself — the walking path along the water is genuinely one of the nicer spots in the area for a slow afternoon stroll. The play area is small and best suited for the toddler-to-early-elementary crowd, so don’t expect a massive setup, but for kids in that 2-8 range it does the job. Bring a blanket and some food because the open grass near the pond is where most families end up spending the bulk of their time anyway. It’s a low-key, locals-know-it kind of spot that stays pretty calm even on weekends.
