Baker Park Playground

Locals know Baker Park is one of the better spots in Frederick to actually spend a few hours without feeling rushed. The playground has all the classics — slides, swings, a climbing structure, merry-go-round, and a sandbox — which keeps kids in the 2-to-10 range genuinely occupied. The enclosed play area is a real plus if you’ve got a runner, and the shade trees mean you’re not baking on a bench in July. Restrooms, picnic tables, and decent parking make it easy to stay longer than you planned. Throw in the walking path and open grass field, and you’ve got a full afternoon sorted.
