Cunningham Falls State Park – Manor Area Playground

The Manor Area playground got a solid renovation and it shows — the climbing structure is the real draw here, giving kids 5 and up something that actually challenges them. Shade trees keep things bearable on hot days, and having restrooms right there plus picnic tables and a BBQ area means you can make a full afternoon of it without hauling everything back to the car. The open grass field gives younger siblings room to roam while the bigger kids climb. What makes this spot worth the drive from town is the trail access — you’re basically at the edge of the forest, so it’s easy to tack on a hike or swing by the nature center after everyone’s had their fill of the playground.
