Children’s Museum at Holyoke

Good rainy day backup plan, but honestly worth visiting on a nice day too — the outdoor playground has a solid climbing structure, slides, and a merry-go-round that the younger kids lose their minds over. When it’s warm, the splash pad gets going and that’s basically all you need to keep a 5-year-old occupied for two hours. Inside, the water play area is a hit year-round, and the exhibits are the kind where kids actually learn something without realizing it. Parents can keep eyes on the kids pretty easily throughout, and the place stays genuinely clean, which you don’t always take for granted at spots like this. There’s parking, picnic tables, and some trail access nearby if you want to make a full afternoon of it.
