Iron Bear

Right in the thick of downtown New Bedford, Iron Bear sits close enough to the Whaling National Historical Park that you can practically smell the history. There’s no big play structure or anything like that, so don’t show up expecting a full playground setup — but it works as a decent breather spot when you’re dragging kids through the city. The nearby restaurants mean you can grab lunch without going far, which honestly makes the whole outing easier. Good to know about if you’re already in the area; probably not worth a special trip on its own.
