Out in Champion, this little spot hits differently when you’ve got kids who need to burn energy after a hike. The setup works well for the 3-to-10 crowd, and the wheelchair accessibility means nobody gets left out — which honestly isn’t something you can say about every playground up here. Being right up against the forest is the real draw; there’s something about having actual trees and trails within eyeshot that keeps the whole outing feeling less like a parking lot stop and more like an actual day out. Restrooms and showers on site make it way more practical than it has any right to be for a spot this close to the woods.
