If you live in the Haslett area and haven’t made this your go-to summer spot yet, you’re missing out. The water feature keeps younger kids entertained while older ones roam the open grass field or hit the bike track — there’s actually enough space here that everyone spreads out and it doesn’t feel crowded. Shade trees and covered seating mean you’re not melting by noon, and the BBQ area makes it easy to turn a playground trip into a full afternoon. Being this close to the lake and forest trails is a genuine bonus, especially if you want to extend the day beyond the playground itself. Clean restrooms, solid parking, picnic tables — it’s one of those parks that actually has its act together.
