If you’ve got kids of different ages, this Houghton Lake spot genuinely works for all of them at once. The enclosed, gated perimeter means you’re not constantly chasing anyone toward the parking lot, which parents around here really appreciate. There’s a solid mix of swings and a sandbox for the little ones, plus a full basketball court and open grass field for older kids who need room to run. The shade trees make it way more bearable on hot Michigan summer days than a lot of other local parks. It’s a big space, and it earns it.
