Kensington Metropark

Kensington is one of those parks where you genuinely don’t need a bunch of equipment to have a solid afternoon. The open grass fields give kids room to actually run, and the walking paths wind close enough to the forest that you’ll spot wildlife if you slow down for even a minute. There’s a lake nearby that makes the whole place feel a little removed from everything — in a good way. Pack a lunch, grab a spot under the shade trees, and plan to stay longer than you think you will.
