Black Lake County Park

If you want somewhere low-key where the kids can splash around and you can actually hear yourself think, this little park in Walkerville is worth knowing about. It’s more campground than playground, honestly — the play area is small — but that’s kind of the point. Black Lake is right there, and between the water feature for the little ones and actual lake access for fishing or a swim, young kids tend to stay pretty entertained. The whole place is clean and well-kept, which you don’t always get with county parks this size.
