Fort Austin Playground

West Branch locals know this park delivers the full package — fenced play area, solid climbing structure, swings, and a water feature that kids inevitably make a beeline for. The basketball court and soccer field keep older kids busy, and the open grass field has enough room for whatever pickup game breaks out. Shade trees and covered seating mean parents can actually relax instead of standing in the sun, and the picnic tables make it easy to stretch a visit into a whole afternoon. There’s a pond nearby that adds a nice backdrop, and the walking path gives you somewhere to wander when everyone needs a reset. Honestly one of the better all-ages parks in Ogemaw County.
