Big Marine Park Reserve

If you’re a Washington County local and somehow haven’t made it out to Big Marine yet, fix that. The beach and lake access are the main draw, but there’s genuinely a lot going on here — paved trails for biking, open grass fields, picnic tables with grills, and shade trees that actually do their job on a hot July afternoon. Kids have plenty of room to roam, and the playground keeps them busy while the adults set up lunch. Restrooms and parking make it easy for a full day out, and the wooded trails nearby mean you can stretch the visit into something more than just a beach trip.
