Heritage Park Playground

Locals know this one is worth the trip — it’s got the kind of setup that actually keeps kids busy for more than ten minutes. The zipline alone is a hit, and with climbing structures, monkey bars, slides, and a sandbox, there’s enough going on for different ages without anyone feeling left out. The rubberized surface is a nice touch if you’ve got little ones still figuring out the whole balance thing. Covered picnic tables and clean restrooms make it easy to settle in for a longer visit, and the paved paths are great if you want to get a walk in while the kids do their thing. Right in Northfield, it’s one of those spots that’s easy to get to and genuinely delivers.
