Desoto Bike trail

If you’re into biking or just want a solid walk without dealing with crowds, this trail out in Saucier is worth the drive. It runs through some genuinely nice forest, so you get actual shade and that piney Gulf Coast smell instead of just baking in the sun. The bike track is the real draw — it’s a good stretch that feels more like a proper ride than a parking lot loop. Just know going in that the terrain isn’t exactly flat or paved everywhere, so leave the stroller at home. Locals come out here pretty regularly on weekends, especially in the cooler months when the woods are at their best.
