Stephens Lake Park is one of those spots locals keep coming back to, and the playground there is a solid reason families make the trip. The lake right nearby gives the whole place a relaxed, open feel that you just don’t get at your average neighborhood park. If there’s something going on at the amphitheater, you can let the kids run around while you actually catch some of the show. It’s a good call for a low-key afternoon when you want more than just a playground but don’t want to plan anything too complicated.
