Des Peres keeps this one pretty well under wraps, but locals know Sugar Creek delivers more than most parks twice its size. The playground has solid climbing equipment and swings that actually get used, plus a splash pad that’s become a go-to on humid Missouri summers. Beyond the equipment, you’ve got a proper soccer field and wide open grass if the kids just need to run — and the walking paths that dip toward the wooded edge are genuinely nice, even stroller-friendly. Restrooms are clean, parking is easy, and the benches are placed where parents can actually keep an eye on things.
