Officer Blake C. Snyder Memorial Park

Most St. Louis families haven’t found this one yet, which honestly makes it better for those of us who have. The playground covers the basics well — slides and swings that the 2-to-12 crowd actually uses — but the real draw is how the whole park backs up against the woods, so you get that trail access right there. Pack a cooler, grab one of the picnic tables near the BBQ area, and you’ve got yourself a full afternoon without having to coordinate much. Shade trees keep things bearable in summer, and the restrooms are consistently clean, which matters more than people admit. The open grass field and walking path give older kids and adults somewhere to burn energy while the little ones do their thing.
