Russel Park

One of those low-key neighborhood spots that McCook locals actually know about — Russel Park doesn’t try to do too much, and that’s kind of the point. The pickleball courts get a lot of love around here, and honestly they should, since they came together through real community effort. There’s also a full basketball court and a big open grass field if you just need room to run around. Younger kids will head straight for the sandbox, which keeps them busy longer than you’d expect. It’s a quiet, no-frills park that works well for a relaxed family afternoon.
