Depot Rd Field Playground

One of the better-kept spots in Hampstead, this playground off Depot Road has a solid setup for kids across a pretty wide age range — we’re talking slides, climbing structure, swings, and a sandbox that younger ones won’t want to leave. The inclusive swing is a nice touch you don’t always see at smaller town parks. When the kids need a break, there’s shaded seating and picnic tables, so you can actually sit comfortably instead of standing around in the sun. The soccer field and open grass area mean older kids have plenty of room to burn energy, and the walking path along the tree line gives it a woodsy, out-of-the-way feel. It’s the kind of place locals know about but doesn’t get overcrowded — worth the trip if you’re anywhere near southern Rockingham County.
