Turkey Swamp Park

If you’re a Freehold local and haven’t taken the kids to Turkey Swamp yet, you’re missing out on one of Monmouth County’s better kept secrets. The 17-acre lake is the real draw — fishing, boating, and just sitting near the water while the little ones run themselves tired on the playground. Trails thread through the woods for hiking and mountain biking, and the open grass field gives kids ages 2–12 plenty of room to just do whatever.
