The playground sits right alongside forest trails and a pond, so little ones can burn energy on the equipment and then immediately transition into spotting herons or following a nature path — it works out really well for families who don’t want a purely “playground trip.” There’s solid shade, picnic tables for lunch, and clean restrooms, which honestly covers everything you need for a half-day out. The nature center is worth a walk-through too, especially if your kids are in that 5-10 range where they actually ask questions about the wildlife displays. Bring bikes if you can — the bike track and walking paths make it easy to turn this into a full afternoon.
